My last period started on July 3rd, and it is now August 6th. I have not yet started my period, despite taking several negative pregnancy tests. I stopped using birth control pills in mid-June after using them for 7 months. I had unprotected sex on July 31st and took two emergency contraceptives in June. What could be causing my late period, and when should I expect it to return? Is there anything I can do to induce my period, and would a blood test be necessary?

I took Plan B and my period is early. Can it mess up your period even while taking birth control? Is it true that Plan B is less effective the more you use it? As long as I take it the day after sex, am I okay?

I recently had surgery in Jan 2009 for a ruptured ovarian cyst. I have been trying for the past 2 months to get pregnant but no luck yet. Can you help me figure out why? I should also tell you that this would be my second one because I already have a seven-year-old.
