I am 21 years old and experience painful periods that occur every 18-30 days. I have tried a couple of birth control pills, which caused significant mood problems. What type of birth control pill should I try, and what else can I do to manage my symptoms?

I took 4 pregnancy tests that all came back positive, but then I woke up with a lot of blood. Should I go to the hospital? I am not using any contraceptives, my last period began September 28, I am not using any medications, and I am 23 years old. My last period was supposed to start October 24.
