I have pain in my ovaries, specifically on the right side, which started recently after eating chips and chocolates. The pain is ache-like and comes and goes. I am 22 years old, have no family doctor, and have been in Canada for 5 years. My last menstrual period was in the last week of October, and I am due for my next period in the last week of November. There is no abnormal vaginal discharge. What could be causing this pain and what should I do?

I have been bleeding and passing large blood clots for 7 days, with the bleeding getting heavier each day. My period never fully came about 2 weeks ago, but I was lightly spotting dark brown blood and passing some dark brown tissue. I am not using any contraceptives and had a tubal ligation done in 2011. My last pap test was about 2 years ago, and I have been doing a cleanse. Could this be related to my recent thyroid level fluctuation or the cleanse? Should I go to the ER, and what could be causing this?
