I am 32 years old with two healthy children and a history of two miscarriages. I have hypothyroidism and one copy of the MTHFR mutation. I took synthroid, prenatal vitamins, Metanx, and baby aspirin during my pregnancies, which went well. We are considering having a third child, but I am concerned about taking Metanx again due to the high folic acid content, which I've read can potentially cause cancer. My OBGYN recommends Metanx, but I've read that only one copy of the MTHFR doesn't necessarily warrant treatment. Should I continue taking Metanx, and when should I start taking it if we decide to try for a third child?

My girlfriend has HPV, possibly types 16 or 18. We are considering being intimate and want to understand the risks and preventive measures, including the potential for HPV transmission through skin-to-skin contact, oral sex, and kissing. Additionally, I want to know if being circumcised affects the risk of penile cancer.

My period is usually very regular at about 27-28 days, but this month it was 40 days late. I'm not sexually active, so I'm not pregnant. What could be causing this irregularity, and what lab tests should I perform to understand the issue better?

I have been experiencing cramps, headache, fatigue, and lightheadedness for over a month, along with delayed menstruation. I am on birth control (norethindrone) and missed one pill, which might be causing the delay. I had spotting for two days but no full period. I also had sexual intercourse within five days of missing the pill and took a pregnancy test, which was negative. What could be causing these symptoms and should I be concerned?

I am having severe abdominal cramps in my pelvic region, have been bleeding for about a month, and feel like I might pass out from the pain. I have an implanted birth control device (Nexplanon). Should I go to the emergency room?
