I had Mirena inserted during surgical treatment for endometriosis just over a year ago. After about a 6 month adjustment phase, Mirena really seemed to help my endo symptoms. Over the course of the last 4 months, the symptoms have been returning and my periods are becoming heavier instead of lighter. Could endometriosis be returning even with Mirena in place? What should I watch for or do in the meantime?
