I have a left ovarian cyst and am experiencing daily brown vaginal discharge with pain. I went to the ER, where they did a CT scan but did not perform a pelvic exam or take vaginal cultures. My periods are regular, and I have no odor from the discharge. I am sexually active but do not use birth control, having had my tubes clamped with Felshie clips three years ago. Could this be related to ovulation, or is there another cause for my symptoms?

I took an emergency contraceptive pill last month, and my periods were normal after 5 days. However, this month my periods have delayed, and my stomach hurts a lot. Could this be due to the pill? The stomach pain comes and goes regularly, is sharp and achy, and I'm not using any medications. I'm 19 years old, and there's no other significant medical history.
