The pain was constant for two days and has since subsided, but cramps are still present. The pain is described as burning in the abdomen and a 'swollen feeling' in the vagina. I am 29 years old, have a family history of endometriosis and cancer, and a bipolar diagnosis. I recently had protected sex and noticed a slight vaginal odor before the spotting started. I do not take birth control and have no urine discomfort. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I recently had sex for the first time in a while and my vagina has been itchy and discharging but there is no odor. I’m wondering if maybe it’s just cleaning itself? How long have you dealt with the itchiness? Have you experienced this in the past? When was your last pap test or pelvic exam? Any irregular results from past exams? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
