I am in my 6th week of pregnancy and experiencing severe, sporadic cramping in my pelvis that lasts around 15 minutes at a time. The cramps are extremely intense and occur a few times a day. I have had an abdominal ultrasound and two pelvic ultrasounds, which showed a normal pregnancy and a small cyst on one ovary that is expected to resolve on its own. The doctors have ruled out ectopic pregnancy and suggested the cramps are due to my uterus stretching. However, the pain is unlike anything I've felt before, reaching an 8 out of 10 on the pain scale, and is concentrated in my pelvic region with a sharp, twisting, and burning sensation. What could be causing this pain, and should I be concerned?
