I am still bleeding after 4 months post-c-section. It started for two weeks, stopped for a week, and then resumed. Why?

I think I have vulvitis. I have swollen, itchy labia and a small 'slice' like cut at the top. The itchiness started on Thursday and has been coming and going, but it's getting more swollen and uncomfortable over time. My skin is red and raised. I have no known allergies. I had sex on Wednesday with someone new, which was impromptu and not fully prepared, leading to dry and vigorous intercourse. Could this have caused my symptoms?
