I am on Altavera (a form of birth control pill) and ended my last period on August 1. I stopped taking the birth control and took the placebos while having unprotected sex. 11 days after my last period, I noticed light pink spotting, followed by a heavier dark flow and light cramps for two days, which has now stopped. My mother is experiencing extreme abdominal pain, pressure, and movement on a daily basis. She has undergone various tests (colonoscopy, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI) showing fibroids and cysts.
