I am taking Cryselle birth control and had sex with a male who claims to have had a vasectomy a long time ago. Am I protected against pregnancy, especially if I took my birth control pill one hour late yesterday?

Yes, you are protected against pregnancy. If you have been taking your birth control pill for 7 days...

I’ll be using Yasmin 21-day birth control pills. I’m confused about when to start them for both health (iron deficiency) and protection. My gynecologist said to start on the 5th day of my period and after finishing the pack, wait for 5 days before starting a new one. However, other doctors suggest starting on the 1st or 2nd day for more protection or waiting for 7 days. How should I use Yasmin properly for both health and protection?

I feel pain in my vagina after peeing, and sometimes I feel the need to pee but only a few drops come out. I also have vaginal discharge and pain when peeing. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I haven't had sex in 3 years and tried to recently, but penetration was extremely painful and impossible to continue. The pain is sharp. I'm 56 years old, easily get urinary infections, and had a hysterectomy at age 28. Are there any other symptoms or medical history the doctor should know about?

I have an IUD in for 10 months and am experiencing sudden severe cramps. I have endometriosis and have been having mild cramps on and off during my period, but nothing this serious since the IUD. My last period was on January 6 and it was pretty regular. I am 39 years old and not taking any medications. The cramps started an hour ago and are consistent and really painful. I have been having my period regularly with mild spotting and cramps, but these cramps came on suddenly and haven't stopped. There is no bleeding or discharge, and the pain is in my entire lower abdomen. I have slight nausea, no fever, and slight constipation. What could be causing these severe cramps and what should I do?
