I have a swollen bartholin gland on the left side that has been persistent for two weeks despite sitz baths, antibiotics, and painkillers. The swelling worsened over the first few days and has remained the same for the past week. The affected area is about the size of a golf ball and feels tender inside the vagina. I am not taking oral antibiotics anymore, only painkillers. I am 39 years old, and this has happened a few times before, but it always resolved within three days of antibiotics. What should I do next?

I just started having consistent sex again with my boyfriend last week and now I have pain in my vagina, almost like a burning sensation towards the back of my vagina and a fiery feeling. I have taken Monistat and my OBGYN said it’s probably a yeast infection and gave me an OTC pill, but I feel pretty much the same. The pain worsened after having sex yesterday.
