I've never been diagnosed with HPV, but my recent pap smear showed benign changes related to HPV. Could I have been carrying this virus for over 30 years without knowing? I've only been with my husband for the past 30 years. Should I be concerned, and is it possible to detect the specific HPV strain that could cause cervical cancer?
