Additionally, I have persistent vaginal discharge that started after a bacterial infection was treated with metronidazole. The discharge returns after treatment and sometimes causes burning. I'm experiencing burning and a crawling sensation in my vagina, which started about three days ago. The burning comes and goes, and is worse in the late evening and at bedtime. I have no known allergies and no significant medical history. Additionally, I have vaginal swelling and soreness, but no pain with urination unless the area gets wet. There is no strong fishy odor, and the issue did not start after rough or vigorous sex, but did start after reuniting with my ex. I am not on any regular medications.
