asked

I had intercourse with my partner for the first time since giving birth in January 2020, and I think I might have contracted bacterial vaginosis (BV). I am 29 years old and have noticed a foul smell every time I have contact with my partner. What should I do, and do I need a prescription to get BV treated? Additionally, why do I keep getting BV after intercourse with my partner, and is there something he should do as well?
