I have a few lumps on my labia and I called my primary doctor. She will refer me to an OB/GYN. I have to wait on an appointment for at least a week. I am 49 years old and only noticed the lumps yesterday because it started to hurt a little when I pushed on it. I had a pap test 2 years ago with regular results. I am married, sexually active, and have been steadily losing weight through exercise. The lumps do not have discharge and bother me when it is wet. I have had ingrown hairs in the past, but these feel different and are hard to see. I am in peri-menopause and still get my period irregularly. What could the lumps be and what can I do for them before I can see my OB/GYN doctor?

My fiancé and I have been exclusively seeing each other for the past 5 years and have been able to have sex without any problem, but a couple of years ago it became painful. After having intercourse once, my vaginal canal becomes so swollen it’s nearly impossible to have sex again for several days. What could be causing this and what can I do to alleviate the pain?

Should I take emergency contraception tomorrow, and if so, how effective is it after 24 hours? My mom is 87 and has had a pessary device for about 5 years. Recently, she has been experiencing severe back pain, possibly related to the sciatic nerve, and there is a terrible smell coming from her, despite regular bathing. Could the pessary device be causing these issues?
