I have a flat bump the size of a pea outside the entrance of the vagina. It doesn’t hurt and sometimes it gets smaller. What might this be, how long do they last for, and how do I treat myself? Is this a concern for cancer?

I am 48 years old and have been perimenopausal for about a year. I just got my period on the 20th day of my cycle. I usually have a 28-day cycle with 5 days of bleeding, but my last period was only 3 days. I’ve never gotten a period this early before. Is this all normal for my age?

Why did my doctor tell me to take 3 birth control pills in one day to stop bleeding, does that mean my hormones are wacky?

I just had a hysterectomy (everything out but ovaries and tubes) due to a large fibroid. My doctor told me I have a rare condition where the fibroids can grow in other areas of the body (e.g., lungs, heart) and I need to see an oncologist, even though this is not cancer. I have an appointment on 6/2. I can't find anything on the internet to learn more about this. Can you help?

Why is the cost of Ablations for bleeding so high? It is supposed to be an in-office procedure taking 5 minutes with little to no anesthesia required, but the insurance company wants $500 deductible plus 20% of the total bill. Please advise as the operation/procedure is in the morning.

I am 45 years old with heavy periods, irregular cycles (2 weeks or 6 weeks apart), lower left groin tenderness, light-headedness, hot flashes, and lower back and hip pain. Could this be related to menopause, and what other conditions might explain these symptoms?
