I have a swollen vagina and am concerned I have BV. I have had the swelling for a few weeks. The affected area is inside, so it's hard to tell how large it is, and it's not very painful, just swollen. I take birth control and have taken a boric acid pill. I am 25 years old and have a white vaginal discharge without a cottage cheese consistency, severe vaginal itching/swelling, a strong fishy odor sometimes, and occasional pain/burning sensation with urination. I haven't been sexually active in two months and am currently on Linessa birth control.

I have been experiencing bleeding for 2 days, which is unusual as I had my last period 2 weeks ago and am not due for another 10 days. I am currently on birth control (Tri-Nessa), spironolactone, and seysara. I have regular cycles, am 25 years old, and sexually active. I have never missed a pill and have not taken Plan B in the last month. I am concerned because I recently added spironolactone and seysara to my medication routine and have started having unprotected sex. What could be causing this bleeding and should I be concerned?

I am a 25-year-old female with ulcerative colitis in remission, taking mesalamine pills (4 daily) and one suppository. I am on my period and had a bloody stool today, unsure if it's related to my UC or my period. My periods have been fine for the last 6-7 months, but could my period cause any UC issues, and would this go away once it's over? Should I increase my mesalamine for a couple of days to help prevent a flare? If so, how much should I increase it by, and for how long? At what point should I contact my GI specialist?
