I have had the Nexplanon birth control implant for 2 years and 4 months and have not gotten my period since it was implanted. However, I recently got my period for the first time. Should I be concerned about this sudden return of my period, and does it mean I may need to get the implant removed or replaced sooner than the 3-year mark?
