I need help with contraception. I am 28 years old, and my last period began on April 24th. I was using norethindrone but stopped due to an increased blood clot possibility. I am now considering emergency contraception but am unsure if I can take it because of the d dimer test. Additionally, I am not sure if I should use norethindrone as emergency contraception. My period is due in 3 days, and I had unprotected sex today, unsure if the pull-out method was effective.

I've had no period for six years, but four weeks ago, I started bleeding again, which has gotten heavier, requiring overnight heavy-duty pads and changing every two hours or less. There are also globs of blood in the toilet and on the pads. I have pain in my right side, starting from under my ribs down to my ankle. I am 55 years old, not using contraceptives, and have no history of uterine, ovarian, or bladder cancer in my immediate family. I am on medications for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and migraines.
