My menstrual cycle is usually very regular, but this month, I experienced brown discharge and light spotting a week before my expected period, followed by significant watery bleeding. I'm early in my pregnancy and started bleeding since yesterday. I'm not sure if I'm having a miscarriage or if it could be normal. I don't have heavy flow, more like medium compared to my normal period, and I'm having mild cramps that come and go. Could it be a miscarriage? Additionally, I've been experiencing small clots with the bleeding, and I'm wondering if this is normal. How long is the bleeding supposed to go on for? Should I get an ultrasound or wait for my first appointment? Also, I've noticed some discharge that is mostly clear but sometimes light yellow. Could this be an indication of a possible infection? Before getting pregnant, I would occasionally experience sharp pain on one side during my period, along with heavy bleeding and large clots. Is this normal or a potential problem? Lastly, should I rest during this time or continue with my regular routine?

I'm having weird discharge that started this morning at 4 am. It's brownish with specs of black and clear, with no noticeable odor. I've been on birth control pills (Marlissa) and skipped my cycle for the past two months. I had sex with a condom and maintain good hygiene. I've been experiencing severe cramps even though I'm not on my period, and my last period lasted for weeks with a short break before starting again. I frequently get cramps that last from a few minutes to an hour. My periods were regular when I was on birth control (Norethindrone), but they've become irregular recently. I also take muscle relaxers for the cramps. What could be causing this and what should I do?
