I started using the Depo shot about 6 months ago and will be getting my fourth shot next month. After the first two shots, I experienced light spotting for about a week or less, but after my third shot, I had a normal period with little clotting. Is this normal, and when should I be concerned about the bleeding? What are the recommendations if I want to continue using the Depo shot but don't like the unexpected bleeding?

I have had the Mirena IUD inserted for 2 years and recently noticed brown spotting, which has now turned red. My periods stopped completely for the first 2 years. Is this a sign for concern or could it be that my period is returning?
