My pap interpretation was negative for intraepithelial lesion and malignancy, but it also detected endocervical and/or squamous metaplastic cells (endocervical component) and 14 high-risk HPV types, leading to a recommendation for a colposcopy. I am concerned about the possibility of HPV transmission from my ex-partner who started cheating four months ago. Could he have given me these new HPV types, and is it possible to have HPV even with a normal pap? Additionally, what is the significance of having 14 high-risk HPV types, and what is the HPV DNA reflex criteria?

I am in the military and was at the range shooting weapons all day in hot weather, wearing boxers. I noticed a blister/pimple-like spot near my vagina when I came home, along with itching and a constant yellow discharge with an odor. I'm concerned it could be genital herpes. When did the discharge start, is there a noticeable odor, and when was your last period? Are you sexually active and was the last sexual encounter protected?
