I was just diagnosed with a fibroid tumor the size of a 4-month-old fetus. I am 52 and have been in menopause for six years. The doctor said I will need a partial hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries due to the size and the fact that the tumor is trying to fall apart, causing some bleeding. This surgery would be performed by a scope if all goes well. I'm more afraid that if the procedure didn't work, I would undergo the full surgery and then later have bladder problems, which many women experience after such surgeries. Do you have any advice for me?
