I was just diagnosed with a fibroid tumor the size of a 4-month-old fetus. I am 52 and have been in menopause for six years. The doctor said I will need a partial hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries due to the size and the fact that the tumor is trying to fall apart, causing some bleeding. This surgery would be performed by a scope if all goes well. I'm more afraid that if the procedure didn't work, I would undergo the full surgery and then later have bladder problems, which many women experience after such surgeries. Do you have any advice for me?

I have been dealing with vaginitis for 3 days, which is worsening, and I started my period today. I have had bacterial vaginosis (BV) once before years ago. I am using a 3-day Monistat treatment, but I am also experiencing lower abdominal pain that is different from cramps and has been there for the past 2 days. I am 25 years old and have Hashimoto's disease. What could be causing my symptoms, and how should I treat them?

My roommate is bleeding excessively through ovulation after having unprotected sex with her boyfriend. She is using birth control and is 20 years old. She has had an abortion about a year ago. The bleeding has been going on for 3-4 days. Is this her period or something more serious?
