I have noticed a lot of watery, thin discharge coming from my vagina. There is no bad odor, but it is causing some itching on the outside, especially near the anus. I am post-menopause at 56 years old. What could be causing this and what can I do about it?

Do these spots on the top part of my vagina look to be of anything concerning? They are painful to the touch and feel similar to pimples or boils I get on my thighs and underarm pits. I don’t have any inside of the vagina itself.

I just came from my gynecologist and need to have a hysteroscopy, D&C, and biopsy of the cervix. I've already had an ultrasound and an abnormal Pap test post-menopause. The doctor said my chances for cancer are 50/50. Is all this necessary and should he have told me about the 50/50 chance, as it has upset me?
