I am 6 weeks pregnant and experienced severe abdominal pains, cold sweats, bloating, nausea, and diarrhea due to suspected food poisoning. The pain caused me to black out at one point. Although the severe pain has subsided, I am experiencing mild cramping. I am concerned about the potential impact on my unborn baby and would like to know if there is anything I should look out for that would require emergency care.

I just woke up and my chest and upper back are hurting a lot. I’m a 23-year-old pregnant female, around 5-8 weeks pregnant, and haven’t been to the OB yet. The pain is constant and worse when I sit up. It’s sharp when I sit up and achy when laying down. The pain is in the middle of my chest and radiating to my upper back. My period is 21 days late, and I’ve taken multiple pregnancy tests which are negative. I’ve been having a lot of cramping and discharge. My last period began on the 8th of July and ended on the 14th. I use Motrin or Tylenol for cramps and take two insulins for type 1 diabetes. I had an abortion a few years ago using the pill version. How old am I now? How often do I usually get my periods? When was my last pregnancy test? Am I trying to conceive?
