I’d like to know if I have a yeast infection or something else. I’ve never had one before. Symptoms include external itching, internal burning during sex, and swelling. I am 24 years old, on birth control, and have been tested recently for STDs, which were clear. I am sexually active and have not used any medications specifically for these symptoms.

I experienced pain while urinating after sex, which went away after my period. However, I still feel a strong sensation if I don't drink enough water.
