Is there such a thing as false pregnancy? I've had two negative pregnancy tests and a home pregnancy test that was positive. My last period was on October 19th, 2012, and I haven't had one since. I've experienced sore breasts, nausea, weight loss then gain, and I look about 4 or 5 months pregnant. However, a family planning clinic's pregnancy test and ultrasound showed I'm not pregnant. I feel movement and am very confused. Could this be all in my head, or is it possible to experience false pregnancy symptoms?

I had been taking Depo Provera birth control for about 5 years and stopped 7 months ago. I just got my period back, which was heavy for the first 6 days but is now medium and has been bleeding for over a week. Is this normal, and what can I do about it?

I had unprotected sex on November 28 using the pull-out method, and the next night I missed my birth control pill but doubled up the following day. I've had brownish discharge for a week and a half, sometimes with blood. I'm due for my period this weekend. Am I pregnant, or is this spotting from missing my pill?

I just found out I'm 3 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding very lightly for the past 4 or 5 days. I went to the ER, they took a blood test which came back positive, and did an internal ultrasound. They told me there is a sac but no embryo. I am 39 years old and this is my first pregnancy. Am I miscarrying?

I am trying to troubleshoot some conflicting results as it relates to what appears to be a pending pregnancy. The associated data is as follows: Last Period Start Date: December 21st; Estimated Conception Date: January 1st, 2nd or 3rd; Implantation Bleeding (Light, Bright Red Bleeding Before Expected Period) - January 14-18 (ended without follow up Period). No history of irregular periods; ever. Urine Pregnancy Tests (5)= Negative (Varying Dates); Blood Test Hormone Results (January 28th): LH 10.5 MIU/ml Normal, HCG, TOTAL, QN <1 mIU/mL, HCG, TOTAL, QL Negative mIU/mL, Comments: Negative <6, ESTRADIOL, SERUM 77.1 pg/mL, FSH 8.3 MIU/mL Normal; Age-45; Four Children (Ages, 10,9,7 and 5). No prior pregnancy complications or test result conflicts; Experiencing pregnancy symptoms; nausea, lower back pain, extreme tiredness, increased hunger and carbohydrate cravings (same as previous pregnancy); No weight problems and exercise regularly (P90X, walking, hiking and horseback riding). The doctor’s office responsible for blood work up did not meet my expectations. Nurses with extreme biases regarding menopause drew all conclusions and a doctor was never seen. Conclusions drawn were that my Estradiol levels were “high” and this combined with the low HCG level meant that I am entering early menopause and should take medication to lower the Estradiol levels. This was concluded in spite of the fact that high Estradiol levels are found in the blood of pregnant women and I have classic pregnancy symptoms and no symptoms of pre or post menopause. For obvious reasons, I will be securing another service provider. Before I do so however, I would like advice on timing and exactly what to request. It is my understanding (based on my research) that low early pregnancy HCG levels do not have much relevance with respect to producing a healthy baby. My thought is to wait another three weeks and see if my menstrual cycle produces any results and in the interim continue with my exercise and healthy eating regimen (as always). I am however concerned that waiting may result in damage to the fetus. I would appreciate advice for the best way to move forward so I can ensure that I am getting the best care.

I recently had an ultrasound dating the pregnancy at 5 weeks, 5 days (on 1/14/14). If I had sex on December 11 and 12 with a partner, could it be possible that this individual is the father? I do not know my LMP and may have had sex during the period from December 15 to December 23. Is it still possible to get pregnant if no sperm was ejaculated, and what about pre-cum? How can I determine the father of the baby?
