My husband and I started trying for a baby this month. At 10 days past ovulation, I had a faint line on a pregnancy test, which turned negative the next morning but appeared again the following day. It’s now 11 days past ovulation, and I’m experiencing light spotting, with my period due in 2 days. I’m concerned about my ability to get pregnant, especially since I had a surgical abortion a year ago and got pregnant easily then. I’m also worried that stress this month might have affected my ovulation. What could be causing these symptoms, and what tests or steps should I consider?

I started taking Aviane birth control 17 days ago and also began Effexor at the same time. I'm experiencing severe fatigue, impatience, and painful, uncomfortable bleeding. I'm not sexually active and took the birth control to regulate mid-cycle spotting. Should I stop the birth control, and could these symptoms be related to the pill or the Effexor?

I have been bleeding from my vagina after having sex. It has slowed down somewhat. I am 68 years old. How long have you dealt with the bleeding? Is this issue stable or getting worse? Are you using any medications, either for the bleeding or anything else? If so, do you know the dosage? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
