I have had my period since the end of February and it has not stopped. The longest I went without using tampons or pads was about 8 days. I am not using any contraceptives or medications, and I am 31 years old. My last gynecological exam was about 2 months ago, and the results were fine. However, I am still bleeding heavily and have occasional lower stomach pain. I am scared that this continuous bleeding could be life-threatening or affect my ability to have children. If you go to an OBGYN and the wet mount comes back negative for yeast, can you still have a yeast infection? How long does it take for the swab culture result to come back for a yeast infection? Could antibiotics like Ceftriaxone and Doxycycline cause a yeast infection in a few days, even after a negative wet mount result?

Do I still need to continue taking the mini pill for birth control, and can I have a test to determine if I am done with menopause?
