I have been experiencing brown discharge with small black clots, not during my period, and my cycles have been shorter than usual since August. My last period started on October 31 and ended on November 6, and it comes every 2.5 weeks. I have noticed an odor with the discharge but no itching, redness, soreness, or swelling. What could be causing this and what should I do?

Is it possible to get a yeast infection more than once, and how can I take care of it? I just started using a contraceptive patch, which might be a contributing factor. I have experienced symptoms such as white cottage cheese-like discharge, itching, and soreness for a few days. I don't have any swelling, foul odor, or pain during urination or sex. I haven't taken any antibiotics recently.

I have a small amount of thin clear discharge with tiny white clumps in it. Is this normal? I've noticed it the past few days along with some discomfort in my lower abdomen. I had my cycle about 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten back on my birth control since. I use NuvaRing. There isn't an odor and there isn't any change in color.

I am a 57-year-old woman who has not had a menstrual cycle in 8-9 years. Two weeks ago, I experienced light spotting after intercourse, along with some cramping and back pain that felt similar to when I was getting my periods. I take Chinese Pearls and had a checkup with a gynecologist in February, which showed endometrial cells on my pap but a subsequent sonogram was normal. What could be causing the spotting, and should I be concerned?

I had an IUD inserted about 1 year ago and I stopped getting my period altogether shortly after. For the past 3 weeks, however, I've started bleeding. It's a mix of period blood or spotting, and each day the flow changes. Recently, I've started getting period symptoms associated with the bleeding. How long have you used the IUD? Has the bleeding been stable or getting worse? Are you using any medications, either for the bleeding or anything else? If so, do you know the dosage? Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
