I got an IUD in April and shortly after had a cyst rupture, which was painful for a few months. Last month, I had extreme abdominal pain for 3 weeks before my period, worse than normal cramps a week ago, and abnormal discharge. Today, I began feeling super nauseous, noticed an abnormal odor, and became extremely nauseous, breaking into sweats and chills. My body temperature has fluctuated from 98.7-99.5. I have an appointment with an obgyn tomorrow morning, but I'm concerned if this could be an infection that might be unsafe to leave untreated until then.
