A taxpayer formed an LLC in GA and elected S-Corp status on January 18, 2021. They received payment for jobs but did not open a separate business checking account until October. Prior to October, all business income and expenses were run through their personal checking account. For purposes of the 1120S, will all income received since the business formation be reported there or will the income received prior to the business checking account go on a Sch C on their 1040? Does it matter that they didn't have a separate business bank account the whole time? Additionally, some 1099s are coming in using the taxpayer's social security number rather than the business EIN. Can he report the 1099 income in his SS# as revenue on the 1120S or does he need to report those funds as Sch C income?

I received a 1099-MISC instead of a 1099-NEC, which should have been used. Does this matter?

I filled out a joint tax return with someone and I'm concerned they might be lying about how much I should receive back. I have all the documents but they are under someone else's name. How can I ensure I get the correct amount back and what steps should I take to verify this?

I’m filing my taxes and I give work to non-employees in Russia, specifically CGI artists who produce architectural visualizations for my clients in the USA. In the area marked contract labor, do I include payments I’ve made to them? Also, what about the W-8BEN forms and the QBAI deduction? How do I handle these and what should I report to the IRS?

My wife used her personal Square account to set up my POS. Now that the 1099-K has come, all of my sales are under her name and not the LLC EIN. Can I correct this? We are married and file jointly. I have no income to show and deductions to use.
