I filed my 2022 tax return electronically but never received it. I was informed that a bank sent it back in 2023 because they thought it was too much. I haven't been able to get any other information on where it is. I am located in La Center, Washington, 70 years old, single, and do not have any dependents. I do not know approximately how much I made this year. I just need my refund, as it has been a hardship not receiving it.

My husband and I, both 79 years old, sold our vacation home which we used for 38 years. My husband has a brain tumor and a permanent disability, and we have an irrevocable trust with our primary residence. Our accountant says IRS Form 523 does not clearly state that it applies to a second home. How can I ensure we can use Form 523 to avoid capital gains on the sale of our vacation home?
