I received a payout alert from SSI indicating distributions in 2022, but I do not recognize these security trades. I was told by my lawyer that the taxes on my father's estate would be paid by the estate, so I failed to file in 2022 and need to rectify that situation. I think I have $47,000, but they're saying I have over $100,000, which is incorrect. I have no information on these four security trades and never received that type of money. What should I do with this information?

I am considering consulting via either an S-Corp or LLC, and the location of the work will be in NYC, with some possibility to work in different cities. Should I create a NYC S-Corp or LLC? Would it make sense to create the same in a different state? Are you able to estimate net income based on rough estimated revenues and expenses?
