Fidelity issued an unexpected automatic RMD before I had a chance to do it myself, resulting in underwithheld taxes. I could pay the extra in my next estimated tax payment, but that would mean uneven estimated payments. Would that potentially result in a penalty? Could any penalty be avoided if I put in enough to amount to 110% of last year's taxes? If that won't work, could I have Fidelity make another distribution and put it all into tax payment?

I filed a 941 with the wrong EIN and need to correct it by filing a 941x. I want the IRS to move the payments made under the wrong EIN to the correct EIN. I have already filed a new 941 with the correct EIN. Which boxes should I check in Part 1 and Part 2 of the 941x form?

Why is it that for affordable housing, applicants are asked to show their bank records instead of their tax returns to determine income? Couldn't someone easily manipulate their income by switching banks, keeping extra money in cash, or receiving their job income in cash for the last three months to appear to make less?
