I have a question about pro-rated exclusions on capital gains on a home sale. We owned and lived in the home for 22 months. Our situation involves being forced to work from home permanently due to office closure, homeschooling our kids, and wanting to start emergency prep (food storage). Would these circumstances allow us to prorate capital gains exclusion?

I still have not received my tax return. Taxes were done on February 11, and the rest of my family received their return several weeks ago. Taxes were all done on the same day. I did receive confirmation that the IRS received my tax returns. Where are you currently located? Do you have any dependents, or people who are financially supported by you? Is there anything else the Accountant should know before I connect you?

If I sell the shares I received a few years back as part of a share-based payment scheme from my employer, will I be double taxed? The initial value of the shares was around 80k, and I paid full tax when I received them.
