I received a 1099-C for debt forgiveness for tax year 2020 for my husband who died in 2019. In 2019, we filed a married filing jointly return, and for 2020, I am filing as single. Do I include the 1099-C with his name and SSN on my tax return for 2020, or how do I handle the 1099-C? There was no estate setup when he died.
