I am not a US citizen or green card holder. I was in the US on a student visa (F1) for the entirety of 2012 and 2013. In 2014, I was enrolled in a US university but was not physically in the US. My F1 status ended in 2014, and I had a physical presence of 0 days in the US that year. Do I fail the Substantial Presence Test for tax purposes in 2014, and is there a provision to count days physically present outside the US as days in the US?

I am a resident of Indiana and worked in both Indiana and Oregon last year, earning most of my income in Oregon. I used TurboTax to do my taxes and it indicates I owe $3600 in Indiana state tax, even though I only earned $9000 in Indiana and paid $300 in income tax on that amount. Does this seem right, and how should I proceed with my tax filing?
