I want to give my 3 daughters some Bitcoin. I acquired it in 2017 for $500, which is now worth about $55,000. I plan to transfer fractional amounts under $10,000 in value to each daughter and retain the rest. Do I have to report the gifts and pay tax on my gains? My wife and I sold two rental houses in 2012 and 2015 without reporting the capital gains. We would like to correct this as soon as possible and need advice on how to proceed. We purchased both homes in 1992; one for $60,000 and the other for $75,000. We lived in one of the houses for 4 years before renting it out.
