I filed my tax return using TaxAct online on May 26, 2021, but I still haven't received my refund check. What could be the reason for the delay and what steps can I take to check the status of my refund?

My husband and I are Canadian but will be leaving Canada on September 29, 2021, to travel around Europe for an indefinite amount of time. At what point would we be considered non-residents of Canada? We have sold our home and don't have children. All we will have in Canada are our RRSPs, TFSAs, LIRA, and non-registered investments.

I have not received my federal tax refund. Can you tell me when I can expect it? I am 65 years old, single, and made $31,000 this year. I filed my taxes in March, but the IRS is severely backed up. Why can't I get my refund promptly, especially when the IRS can send funds for child support?

Can someone be on social security disability and still apply for SNAP (food stamps/assistance), and would they also be eligible for Medicaid and other cash assistance if they have Medicare?
