I am unclear on S-Corps. Everywhere I read says shareholder distribution is not taxed. However, my annual tax pro tells me you still have to pay taxes on the distribution. So her recommended quarterly tax PLUS the tax I pay through payroll (W2) of my self, ends up no different than if I just remained Self Employed, not converting to an S-Corp. Is my tax pro incorrect?
