I had a bad experience with an IRS agent after waiting for two hours. I need to know how to pay my tax bill in about a week. I called for an extension during the last tax season because I didn't have enough money to pay my bill, and I was given an extension until October 7. I never received a letter from the IRS or any information other than a check that was returned to me for a partial payment. The person I spoke to informed me that I had a bounced check fee, interest, and other large fees, which were all new to me. If I had known about these, I would have tried to pay more instead of waiting and taking out a loan. Which tax year am I filing for, and is there anything else the accountant should know before I connect?
