I have a complex question about retirement plans, specifically regarding 401(k) and SEP-IRA deferrals. I am located in Michigan, 59 years old, married filing jointly, and made $525K this year. My income is from a job I left in March '22, where I made $550K on a W2 but lost $30K in self-employment income.

The IRS rejected my tax return because I tried to claim my 13-year-old great-grandson who lived with me from June until the end of the year, but someone else claimed him for the first half of the year. How do I fix my return and resubmit it?

If I sold a property that was in a revocable trust, where I am the executor, and dispersed funds to the heirs according to the will, when filing my taxes and listing the proceeds minus expenses, am I referring to the amount of the check after fees or the property's sale price? Can I include in expenses the proceeds distributed to the heirs?
