I hired a tax attorney to advise me on IRS taxes on settlements and agreed to have them prepare my taxes. Now, I am wondering if I am still obligated to let them prepare the taxes, especially since they are not in the same state as me. I paid them part of the fee, and the other payment is due soon. Should I continue with them, or can I find someone else in my state to prepare my taxes?
