I am starting a 1099 position as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at a private practice. I will only receive 60% of the billed amount from patients/insurance. Can this be considered a loss/deduction for me on my taxes, and if a patient does not pay their bill after I have provided services, can this be written off as a loss?

I have filled out an SSA-1724-F4 form. Can I bring it to the Social Security office and slip it through a slot or something? Alternatively, can I FAX it? My husband passed away on 01/02/2021, and there was an issue with the December Social Security payment being taken back. I need to hurry the Social Security benefit along as I have a house payment due.

My wife has an IRA with pretax funds from various employers. I'm moving it into her new job's plan (she has not worked in several years), it was still funded at the end of the year. I would like to make a backdoor Roth contribution. Can I use the 2020 tax year without co-mingling funds or do I have to pass on 2020 since I did not get the account rolled into her new employers plan before the end of the year?

I received two stimulus checks, one in 2020 and one in January 2021. I reported the amounts, but the system said we would not qualify for additional stimulus. Why is that, and are these stimulus payments taxable?

I was an authorized user on a company credit card at my previous employer and unknowingly made personal charges totaling $6,500. I marked these charges as personal on my expense report and repaid the company. Can they withhold my W2 because of this, and do I need to file this when submitting my taxes this year? If the amount was paid back after December 31, 2020, could I face any legal implications, and is a company likely to pursue legal action after the repayment?
