I'm starting a business that involves renting out vehicles on Turo or sharing profits with drivers on Uber or Lyft. All vehicles will be owned by my LLC. Which state offers the best insurance rates for this type of business, and what kinds of insurance do I need for Turo and Uber/Lyft?

My wife and I moved from Nevada to Utah in 2019. We were asked to return to Nevada for the 2021-2022 school year. I have been renting a home in Nevada since September 2021 and will maintain this lease through the end of June-first week of July 2022. My wife has had major surgery and has not spent as much time here as I have. We also retain our house in Utah and plan to return permanently no sooner than the end of summer. I am wondering whether I have to file and pay Utah State income tax if I were to take out a Nevada driver license, which along with the rental should establish Nevada residency for me. My wife will retain her Utah citizenship and our current address, and be subject to the State's income tax. We also plan to leave the cars registered in Utah as they are in our names jointly (and Utah registration is cheaper than in Nevada). I have been paying into the Utah tax system all year. My question is two-fold: If I formally obtain Nevada citizenship before the end of this year, do I have to file a Utah return for 2021? And the second part, will I also need to file one when I return to Utah, either toward the end of this summer or even possibly in 2023, and get a Utah driver license?

I am on disability and almost 64-1/2 years old. I want to see if I can collect on my ex-husband's Social Security benefits. We were married for more than 10 years. I was remarried but that ended 6 years ago and we were only married for 5 years. Does that matter? My first ex was born in 1955. I can't live on what I get. So, what do I need to do to collect on his? And what will happen to it if he goes first?

My mother-in-law had an insurance policy where my husband was the beneficiary and I was next in line. After she and my husband passed away, the funds ended up with the State. Who do I talk to in order to track down these funds?

As the owner of an antique mall, I provide 1099-MISC to my vendors who are not employees. They pay rent but no commission, and I collect and submit sales tax and pay vendors monthly for their sales. I was told by the IRS that I need to report all sales on my tax return, even though it's not my income, and then deduct what I pay out to my vendors. I'm confused about whether to use 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC since I'm not paying them for work or services but for their own sales. Which form should I use, and do I need to switch to the NEC or can I continue with the MISC as long as it is getting reported?

I use TurboTax to file my business tax for 2019 and 2020. I have 2 members, I’m 90% and the other partner is 10%, so I used the 1120s form to file. Today, after talking to the IRS, they said that I was supposed to file under 1065 and they have been rejecting this whole time. How fast can I correct all this information?
