I mailed my tax return to the IRS in mid to late March 2021 and have not received my refund or been able to contact the IRS. I am 73 years old, located in East Norriton, PA 19401, and filed jointly with my wife, who is my dependent. After taking the standard deduction, we made $46,291 in 2020. What should I do now?

I filed my taxes on 2/26/2021. I received unemployment and pandemic-related extra money, but no taxes were taken out. My 1099 showed $18,449, and I have two dependents, a 12-year-old and a 17-year-old who worked last year. The tax preparer included my 17-year-old's income on my return, and the IRS sent a letter asking for a 1040x. Now, I won't get my money until December, and the IRS is asking me to identify myself. Why am I only getting $200 for my 12-year-old, and why was my 17-year-old removed from the child tax credit? Also, why didn't I get forgiveness on the taxes for unemployment?

How can I talk to someone at Novad? I sent a check to pay my taxes, but I forgot I had changed my account and sent another check which was returned due to a wrong address issue. I have been trying to call Novad for hours without success. Additionally, my boat house burned down, and I need Novad's information to provide to my insurance company and to get my check cashed.
