I took my tax information to a preparer a month ago and still haven't received any information on filing. I have called them and no one answers the phone. What do I do if I don't get my taxes back by Monday, the deadline? I'm on a fixed income so I need time to get money to pay them and my taxes.

I am 71 years old and received Social Security benefits in 2021, along with income from two jobs totaling $73,564. I also have an IRA but did not contribute to it in 2021. I'm working on my 1040-SR form and need advice on whether to use the SS benefits worksheet or Form 590-A for determining taxable Social Security benefits. My SS benefits are listed as $28,752 in SSA-1099 box 3, with no benefits in box 4, and I have $111 in taxable interest income.
