I need assistance completing our 2022 joint tax return, which I filed an extension for. I exercised, sold, and held ISOs, and need to figure AMT. My spouse and I are both retired and drawing Social Security. I am concerned about taxable Social Security, gain on sale, and sizable tax liability for 2022. I have an accounting background and have filed our taxes for years, but I believe the short-term gain and AMT will result in a significant tax liability. We have a financial advisor, but she is not a tax specialist.
